Got a game in you, trying to get out?
Oooh, that can be nasty. XBox Live Indie Games could be just what you're looking for. XNA is a complete framework from Microsoft of low-no cost tools for developing your own games for Windows and the Xbox 360.
The XBlig-UK User Group is your chance to meet & hear from like-minded XNA indie games developers from across the UK. Not only can you pick up tips on to how to write your game, but also how to win fortune & glory (although not necessarily in that order) by publishing it to the world via XBox Live Indie Games on the Xbox 360.
Meetings are generally held on the 1st Wednesday of each month. They last for 2 hours and the all important Pizza break is included in the membership fee.
Meetings cover a wide range of topics and we always try to have something suitable for beginners, as well as those with intermediate or advanced skill levels & knowlege.
 |
Typical topics include:
- Game Architecture
- Sounds & Music
- AI Techniques
- Vertex & Pixel shaders
- 3D Modellers & Modelling
- The Publishing Process
|
There's also an opportunity for you to show us what you've been up to, or maybe ask for some advice about something you're working on or even just planning.
Breaking News...
Microsoft have very generously offered ***3 XBoxes to give away*** - YES you read that right, we will be giving away 3 XBoxes over the course of the first 3 meetings - for the best game project demonstrated at each session. Paul Foster from Microsoft will also be joining us with preview Windows Phone 7 hardware for a XAP-A-THON. This is your opportunity to try it out the technology for yourself and deploy projects of your own to the phone hardware. This will be the first event of its type in the UK and we will be awarding an XBox 360 each meeting for the best project submitted!!
See Competion Details! for more info.
What are you waiting for?
Either Join XBlig-UK Now!! for all 3 sessions (and save £5) or register for a single meeting here.
