Got a game in you, trying to get out?

Oooh, that can be nasty. XBox Live Indie Games could be just what you're looking for. XNA is a complete framework from Microsoft of low-no cost tools for developing your own games for Windows and the Xbox 360.

NextGenUG are proud to present XBlig-UK. Your chance to meet & hear from like-minded XNA indie games developers from across the UK. Not only can you pick up tips on to how to write your game, but also how to win fortune & glory (although not necessarily in that order) by publishing it to the world via XBox Live Indie Games on the Xbox 360.

We'll be covering a wide range of topics for beginners - like getting started & deploying your game to the Xbox for the first time. But we'll also be looking into plenty of more advanced topics - presented by some of the most accomplished developers from the UK XNA community. I'll post a fuller agenda closer to the event, but topics already confirmed include:

  • Game Architecture
  • Sounds & Music
  • Vertex & Pixel shaders
  • 3D Modellers & Modelling

There's also an opportunity for you to show us what you've been up to, or maybe ask for some advice about something you're working on or even just planning.

The costs for this day is *JUST* £10 - to be paid before the event commences - that includes a full day of technical sessions, lunch and soft drinks, and possibly even some SWAG. This event has been kindly sponsored by Microsoft.

XBlig-UK is going to be held in Birmingham on Saturday, December 5 2009.
